The History of DataPipe USA Inc. (1979-2019)
Founded in 1979, DataPipe USA Inc. was
one of the first companies (world-wide) to provide EH&S
computing solutions. In the 1980s, the company developed
computer interfaces for industrial hygiene instruments to
speak with databases and then offered its first
multi-user, modular Environment, Health and Safety
software program based on the UNIX operating system (this
was the first incarnation of DataPipe). It used an
enhanced PC as a server with “dumb terminals” as
workstations. Since then we have continued to enhance,
improve and add-on to what is now our globally well known,
fully integrated and very powerful, DataPipe EH&S software
suite. Learn More.

Recent News and Events:
Did you know?
According to a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
Management Barometer, more than half (51 percent) of U.S.
and European enterprises are expected to increase their
compliance spending by an average of 23 percent during the
next 12 to 24 months. See the
full article (or see the actual
Management Barometer) and learn more about how
DataPipe can help you with compliance.
Recent Module
Additions: Adding to the arsenal of more than 100
modules covering all areas of EH&S, DataPipe USA has
recently released the “WORKFLOW” module. Work flow allows
for defining steps for reviewing information, processing
business rules, making notifications (e.g., e-mail),
controlling who may edit the record and finally locking
the record against future edits. Encrypted electronic
signatures are attached to workflow records.
Spring 2008:
DataPipe USA will showcase the latest version of
DataPipe at two national conferences this spring. We look
